If you're participating in the Affordable Care Act, but haven't chosen your health care coverage yet, time is running out. That's because enrollment started in November and it ends Dec. 15th.

According to healthcare.gov, more than 2.3 million Americans have already signed up for insurance through the program. Here in Arizona, that number is more than 35,000 people.

"Understand your options. Do your research. Understand the different choices you have available to you," said Luke Mattila of UnitedHealthcare.

He warns to be careful if random people calling you out of the clear blue to sign you up.

"If you suspect some suspicious activity, use that 800 number that's on the back of your medical card to reach out to your health plant to find out if they're making calls to gather some more information,” he said. “[I] definitely encourage you not to give out any personal information over the phone, whether it’s your medical id, your social security number, your credit card information -- things like that."
