LAVEEN, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -- Pure relief. That's how Joe Torres says he feels after knowing nearly $20,000 is back in his bank account.

"I mean now; it's like an 800-pound gorilla has been lifted off my chest. I slept well last night," Torres told 3 On Your Side. "Everything worked out. All from calling Channel 3 and Gary Harper. You guys are great."

Laveen man says he's missing $20K trying to pay off Harley-Davidson

In a previous 3 On Your Side report, Torres explained how he wanted to pay off his Harley-Davidson. So, after his finance company sent him a payoff letter, Torres instructed his bank, U.S. Bank, to wire the money out of his account. But during the transaction, the money somehow went missing because the finance company kept claiming it never received the money, although U.S. Bank kept insisting it sent it.

"Where is your $20,000?" 3 On Your Side's Gary Harper asked. "I don't know," Torres replied. "It's in limbo, I guess. Who knows?"

After waiting for an answer for two months, Torres contacted 3 On Your Side, and I asked U.S. Bank to investigate. It did, and within days, Torres says all of the money was put back into his account. Nearly $20,000.

Joe says it only happened because of 3 On Your Side. "Decisions can't be made unless you get things to the right level. So, 3 On Your Side knows how to take care of these situations."
