PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -- About 70,000 ceiling fans are being recalled because the blades can break off, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The recall covers 48 inch Harbor Breeze Santa Ana ceiling fans, which were sold at Lowe’s stores nationwide and on the Lowe’s website from May 2014 through January 2016. Look for model number LP8294LBN and UPC code 840506599178 on the fan motor or inside the battery compartment cover of the fan’s remote control.

The CPSC says there have been 210 incidents reported involving the ceiling fans, including 10 reports of fan blades hitting consumers.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled ceiling fan and contact the Fanim Industries for a free set of replacement blade holders.
