PHOENIX (3TV/CBS5) -- The Hyatt Regency in downtown Phoenix has a new look for the new year. The hotel just underwent a multi-million-dollar floor-to-rooftop renovation.
The revamped hotel offers two new venues on the property. Barrel & Bushel is a casual American eatery with a vibrant street-side patio. And B&B Market is an expansive shop offering freshly-made hot and cold grab-and-go options, a variety of coffee choices, and speedy made-to-order fare.
Popular with convention-goers, the hotel has enhanced its capabilities with four new meeting rooms, bringing its total meeting and event space to 50,000-square-feet and spanning 35 meeting rooms. All of the meeting spaces boast a modern bold blue, red, and yellow palette in a rotated linear design that reflects the colors of the Phoenix desert and cityscape.
“Hyatt Regency Phoenix is a progressive hospitality pioneer in Arizona, having led an early vision for a vibrant Downtown Phoenix, and sits at a prime location for convention-goers as the closest hotel to the Phoenix Convention Center,” said General Manager, Tom Delaney. “We’re excited to reveal an entirely new look and vibe of the hotel as we continue to advance toward the future.”
Check out the new look of the lobby! Guests are immediately greeted with a welcoming, stress-free environment right from check-in. The newly relocated lobby area and front desk pods were designed to mimic elements of desert landscaping, including stacked sandstone and the look and feel of Antelope Canyon.
Large chandeliers in the lobby area were custom made for this renovation project. They have a contemporary design and sustainable features such as all new LED lighting with the ability to be dimmed based on the time of day.
The hotel's 693 guest rooms and suites now feature an open-concept design with new flooring, digital artwork, lighting, upgraded furnishings and more. Modern and multi-functional, each room is said to be "designed for productivity and peace of mind for busy travelers looking for a stress-free environment."
“Whether in Phoenix for business, leisure or dinner, guests will appreciate the forethought and attention to detail that went into upgrading every inch of the hotel,” said Delaney.
The hotel’s 15,000-square-foot atrium also features a fresh design. The seven-story atrium is located on the second floor of the hotel and has 14 individual versatile rooms that can be turned into 21 meeting rooms. The hotel’s third-floor rooftop courtyard and pool area also got a fresh look, with new pool and lounge furniture and an expansion of the roof’s courtyard. The rooftop space can play host to special events of up to 200 guests.
“As the first Hyatt hotel in Arizona and one of the first hotels to open in Downtown Phoenix, Hyatt Regency Phoenix has hosted many of the nation’s top conventions and business meetings that chose Phoenix as a destination,” said Delaney. “With our hotel’s completely new look, unmatched amenities, striking surroundings, a centralized location and an ever-growing list of onsite draws, we’re ready to continue a legacy of excellence as Phoenix’s top meetings and events hotel.”
