PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) - Amazon Prime Video is promoting its movie "The Aeronauts" at Steele Indian School Park with a free balloon ride, Victorian fair, and movie screening. People can see the film for free.

In 1862, daredevil balloon pilot Amelia Wren (Felicity Jones) teams up with pioneering meteorologist James Glaisher (Eddie Redmayne) to advance human knowledge. The special event in Phoenix lasts from noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday.

The Aeronauts movie is inspired by meteorology pioneers. It's set in 1862 and is a story about two scientists who used a hot air balloon to fly higher than anyone in history.

It comes out in movie theaters on Dec. 6, but then quickly moves to Amazon Prime Video December 20.

This special Victorian fair at Steele Indian School Park in Phoenix will feature a free tethered hot air balloon ride in the replica from the movie called the "mammoth" balloon, cartoonists, fortune tellers, food, drinks, and giveaways. The free and family-friendly public promotion event is part of a tour in different cities in the U.S.
