FLORENCE, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -- Country Thunder is underway, beginning on Thursday in Florence, and traffic was heavy on Wednesday as people in RV's arrived to claim their spots.
On the eve of day one of Country Thunder, traffic rolls into the town of Florence, a town of a little over 27,000 people. Florence resident Donna Brito has lived here for seven years and says it's go time.
"Moneywise, income for the town, it's great. But if you're trying to get from one place to another, probably not so great. So you know, take one or the other. I think we'd rather take the income," said Brito.

The Pinal Food Market is a local business right here in town, and they said for the weekend of Country Thunder, they are nonstop. To be exact, they make nearly 20 percent more than their average normal revenue, which they missed out on last year.
Sam Kasha has owned Pinal Food Market since 2006. He says they've already seen some people pouring into his store. But Thursday through Sunday are the big days. So, how do he and other businesses prepare?
"We do a lot of shopping, we get prepared. We know exactly what we need because it happens every year, and we know exactly what people want," said Kasha. "So, we go get a lot of stuff. We get more deliveries." Including more deliveries to cater to the many concertgoers.
"Cowboy boots and short skirts and short shorts, you know," Brito added.
"They buy everything. For breakfast, they buy bacon, sausages, bread, and then some people buy liquor and beer," Kasha told Arizona's Family.
