ASU Gammage Broadway series

ASU Gammage Broadway season 2021-2022

TEMPE, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) - Let's go on with the show! After a wildly successful opening of its first production of the year, "Hamilton", Grady Gammage Memorial Auditorium, also known as ASU Gammage, in Tempe is ready to raise the curtain on the rest of its 2021-2022 Broadway season.

Single tickets are now on sale for the rest of the season. This year's shows include new productions, Tony Award-winning shows and the return of some audience favorites. The pandemic forced ASU Gammage to pause all of its public events for more than a year. Last year, seven Broadway shows had to be canceled or rescheduled, including "The Lion King," "Frozen" and "Jersey Boys."

But the theater welcomed audiences back earlier this month with its production of the hit musical "Hamilton", which runs through Oct. 10.

Following "Hamilton" will be the hit musical "Mean Girls." After that comes the timeless "My Fair Lady," followed by "The Band's Visit," "Tootsie" and "Hadestown."

In June, you won't want to miss the true story of 7,000 stranded passengers after 9/11 and the small town that welcomed them in "Come From Away." Ending the season in October is Rodgers & Hammerstein's "Oklahoma!" which has been reimagined for the 21st century.

Disney’s "The Lion King" will also make its long-awaited return to the ASU Gammage stage in summer of 2022. Tickets will go on sale at a later date.

The show dates are as follows:

  • "Hamilton" – Sept. 8–October 10, 2021
  • "Mean Girls" – Nov. 2–7, 2021
  • "My Fair Lady" – Dec. 7–12, 2021
