PEORIA (3TV/CBS 5)-- An 8-year-old boy was airlifted to a nearby hospital after he was seriously injured in a crash off New River Road and Carefree Highway in Peoria Sunday afternoon.

The Peoria Fire and Medical Department said the boy was riding a dirt bike in the desert when he was hit by a sand rail.

Peoria Fire and Medical said the boy suffered a head injury and was airlifted to a nearby trauma center. 

No other details were immediately available

I believe in letting kids do as much as their ability allows them to do, however no 8 year old has the ability to ride a dirt bike. Now if he was riding with an adult that is a different story.


You're just not informed Dean. 8 yr olds race at a very high level. My boys started around 5.
