SAN TAN VALLEY, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -- The Pinal County Sheriff's Office has released the mug shot of the man accused of shooting a neighbor after a dispute in a San Tan Valley neighborhood Tuesday evening.

Police say the incident began as a dispute between neighbors out on the street and ended with one man being shot.

Police arrived at a home near Saddle Way and Taylor Trail in San Tan Valley for reports of a shooting. Police say the incident began as a dispute between neighbors out on the street and ended with one man being shot. The man was sent to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. The shooter remained on the scene. He has been identified as 64-year-old Gary Markensen. In an update Wednesday morning, police say the victim remains at the hospital and is expected to survive.

A woman who didn't want to be identified told Arizona's Family the victim ran into her garage, begging her for help. "It was pretty bad, I had blood all over my front porch and in the garage where he was laying," she said. "It was very scary, my kids are having trouble with it, they are ready to move, its crazy."

Markensen has been booked into the Pinal County Jail. He faces one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
