PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) - A hiker ran into some trouble on Piestewa Peak on Friday evening and needed to be saved.
Rescue crews were called out to the mountain in central Phoenix around 5:30 p.m. According to the Phoenix Fire Department a 15-year-old girl had a seizure while hiking up the trail. They couldn't walk her back down the mountain so emergency responders called a helicopter to come and airlift the teen.
Crews successfully loaded her into the helicopter and landed at the helipad at the bottom of the mountain. The teen was reunited with her parents, who were determining if she needed to be taken to the hospital.
