CHANDLER, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) - The Chandler mother, who is charged with murder in the deaths of her two children, was also profiting off the kids after they were dead, according to new investigative documents released by Chandler Police. Lori Vallow was receiving $4,800 per month from the Social Security Administration. The money was intended for her son, JJ. But investigators believe JJ was murdered in September of 2019, while Vallow continued to receive the money until JJ's body was found nine months later.

Vallow and her husband Chad Daybell are charged in the deaths of JJ, his sister Tylee Ryan, and Daybell's former wife, Tammy Daybell. Vallow is also charged with conspiracy to commit murder in the death of her former husband, Charles.

Vallow's brother, Alex Cox, shot and killed Charles Vallow in July 2019. Cox told police the shooting was in self-defense during a family fight. But Chandler police believe Lori Vallow and Cox set the state for the shooting ahead of time.

According to Chandler police, Cox fled to Colombia just days after the shooting. That information was contained in the 2,500 pages of documents related to the case, which Chandler Police released on Friday.
