Bell was a four-year veteran with the district and began his career working for the Verde Valley Ambulance Company. He served as a reserve firefighter for Clarkdale and Verde Valley before being hired full-time in 2017.

"To know Tyrone was to love him," said Danny Johnson, Verde Valley Fire Chief, in a statement. "His passing will leave a huge void here at Verde Valley Fire District." District officials said they'll release more information about Bell and funeral services in the next few days.
