ANTHEM, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -- A member of the Anthem Golf and Country Club has tested positive for coronavirus.
The club sent an email to members Saturday letting them know that the member had tested positive. The email did not specify the gender or age of the person, but did say that the last time they were in the club was in the fitness area on Monday, March 16, and on Tuesday, March 17 for bocce.
The email, sent by Brad Harrington, went on to say that the person's spouse, who has been tested but hasn't gotten results yet, played golf on Tuesday, March 17, and Friday, March 20.
Harrington said since that time the club has been repeatedly cleaned and sanitized, and that the clubhouse and fitness areas are closed.
Harrington said the member remains in self-quarantine and is recovering at home.
