SUN CITY, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) - There is a law on the books in Arizona that forbids anyone operating a motor vehicle to be hands-free. This means drivers cannot hold a phone while driving, including golf cart drivers operating on city streets.
After receiving viewer emails about some golf cart drivers ignoring state law, Stanley Roberts paid a visit to Sun City and Youngtown to see just how bad the problem was. It turned out no one could be found violating the state hands-free.
However, watching drivers violate other traffic laws like running stop signs and parking illegally in disabled hash marks Stanley Roberts didn’t leave empty-handed.
