SCOTTSDALE (3TV/CBS 5) - Black and white posted traffic signs are demands, not suggestions to drivers. Unless, you are in Scottsdale at the Promenade Shopping Center, where drivers pretty much do as they please.

[SPECIAL SECTION: Caught Misbehaving]

To prove this point, Stanley Roberts and his camera watched drivers ignore one particular sign and when asked why they did it, many simply said because they wanted to.

The sign is a right-turn only sign which feeds onto 76th Street. There is also an island which curves to the right to make sure drivers turn right.

Caught Misbehaving with Stanley Roberts exposes individuals who brazenly defy the law or common courtesy, risking social and/or legal consequences. His reports air regularly on CBS 5 News at 10 p.m.

Laws don't apply to certain people.

This sign was probably placed there to keep the traffic from serious backup during the holiday season. When traffic is light, its easy to see why its preferable to make the left! I think the person behind the camera should postpone the shot until the week before Christmas, when it really matters.
