An Arizona man who deputies say engaged in sex acts with a dog has been sentenced.

Christopher Jackson, 49, of Chandler, was sentenced to three years of supervised probation for two counts of bestiality and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia, according to court spokesman Vincent Funari.

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said Jackson and two women engaged in sex acts with a dog.

When Jackson was arrested on bestiality charges, he was already in jail on suspicion of burning his initials onto the private parts of at least one woman marking her as "his property," MCSO said.

Jackson was booked on Sept. 3, 2013 on charges of aggravated assault after Maricopa County sheriff's deputies accused him of using a branding iron and butane in the commission of the act.

Sheriff's detectives said they discovered DVDs during a search of Jackson's home that show Jackson and two different women performing sex acts with his pet dog - a male German shepherd, MCSO said.

Mary Kanitz was taken into custody at a Phoenix plastic surgeon's office where she worked.

MCSO said Josephine Erikson, the other woman seen in the video, is a district supervisor at a Valley insurance company.

Arpaio was briefed about the details of both investigations and called what was seen in those videos appalling.

The dog was removed from the home and is being cared for at the sheriff's MASH unit in the First Avenue Jail.
