CHANDLER, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -- The popular Tempe "Pedal Haus" brewery is set to open a brand new location in historic downtown Chandler next month.
The restaurant/brew pub will open at 95 W. Boston Street, west of Arizona Avenue and south of Chandler Boulevard. The new location features 3,000 square feet of indoor space and 2,000 square feet of patio space for outdoor dining. A small patio in the front will also seat more than 20 guests. Garage doors along the exterior of the building will allow for easy access to the patio when the weather is nice. Charcoal grey paint provides a modern look and feel on the inside. On the outside, corrugated metal shade structures will shade the corner patio.
This will be the second Pedal Haus for owner Julian Wright of Fork & Dagger Hospitality. “We love the community in downtown Chandler and felt this was a great fit,” said Wright. “Chandler has been very welcoming, and we are excited for our first expansion beyond our Tempe location.”
A soft opening is set for Feb. 21, and the "grand opening" is slated for Saturday, March 7. On that day, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., 50% of the proceeds of food and beverage sales will go to the Chandler Compadres. A Pedal Haus-branded bicycle will also be raffled off for anyone who dines in the restaurant. Every $10 spent will qualify customers for one raffle ticket with winners being announced on Sunday via social media. Also upon opening, Pedal Haus will be tapping a limited release Salted Nut Brown Ale, with 100% of the proceeds of every beer sold going to Chandler Compadres.
Chandler Compadres is a charity that donates time, resources, talents and money to help kids and families in need who live in Chandler and the East Valley.
Pedal Haus beers will be brewed at their Tempe location and delivered fresh to Chandler daily. Fans of the Tempe Pedal Haus will still be able to find their favorite dishes, such as smoked wings, smoked salmon, a German-style charcuterie board and the famous chicken pot pie. “People can expect the same award-winning beer and delicious food that we are known for at our Tempe location,” Wright said.
Pedal Haus Brewery has become well known in the local craft beer scene since its 2015 opening on Mill Avenue. Since then, the brewery has won more than 32 medals and awards, including a gold medal at the Great American Beer Festival in 2018 and Best Brewery in the United States at the 2019 Copa Cerveza de Americas. Brewmaster Derek Osborne will continue to manage the beer lineup at both locations.
