Former mega church pastor Mark Driscoll held an Easter service in his new church in Scottsdale.
Driscoll is the former founding pastor for Mars Hill Church in Seattle. He left the church amid accusation of plagiarism and misuse of church funds.
Mars Hill once boasted thousands of members across several states. Driscoll was considered a superstar in the evangelical world for establishing such a successful church in the Northwest.
Mars Hill eventually shut down in 2014. Driscoll is now facing a civil lawsuit brought on by four former members of the church.
Driscoll announced a few months back that he had moved to Phoenix and was establishing Trinity Church located near Pima Road and McDonald Drive. In an introduction video on the Trinity Church website, Driscoll talks about moving to Phoenix but never makes mention of his former position at Mars Hill.
Driscoll said the accusations against him are false.
