A 75-year-old Phoenix-area woman and her son were living without electrical power in their home for two weeks before Arizona's Family Surprise Squad came to their rescue.
"My mom is the sweetest person," said David about his mother Mary Ann. "I'm the only family she's got."
The family's fuse box caught fire, causing the home to lose power for weeks. David says they can't afford the over $3,000 repair bill and now they're suffering in the heat.

3TV meteorologist April Warnecke went to the family's home to surprise the family.
"Are you Mary Ann?" Warnecke asked when Mary Ann opened the door.
"Yes, I am," said Mary Ann.
"Hi, my name's April Warnecke and I'm with 3TV," she said. "We're doing a story about the heat right now. I understand that you don't have working air conditioning right now."
"No, we don't," said Mary Ann. "I really don't know what happened. It just shorted out in the backyard and took the electricity away from us and we can't get any electricity until we get about $3,045. Then they'll come out."
"That's a lot of money," said Warnecke.
"It is. It is a lot of money," said Mary Ann.
"How many days now, have you been without electricity?" asked Warnecke.
"15 days," said Mary Ann.
"15 days?" said Warnecke. "It was 109 the other day!"
"I know it," said Mary Ann. "I know it."
"What have you been doing in this heat?" said Warnecke.
"It's been cold rags and ice and drinking a lot," said Mary Ann. "That's about all we could do."
"What about at night?" said Warnecke.
"At night we sleep out here on the patio," said Mary Ann.
"Well I don't think you should have to go another day without electricity," said Warnecke.
"I don't want to go another day but what can we do?" said Mary Ann.
"Well you've got some help today," said Warnecke. "I'm actually from Arizona's Family Surprise Squad and with your Valley Toyota Dealers and we're going to pay for that for you today. We're going to get your air turned back on today."
The news brought Mary Ann to tears.
"Thank you so much," said Mary Ann.
"Absolutely," said Warnecke.
"I don't know what to say," cried Mary Ann.
Warnecke gestured for the repairmen to step forward.
"I'm Daniel, owner of Bolt Electric and we're going to get your new panel in today," he said.
"Well it's already getting hot out here so let's let these guys from Bolt Electric get to work," said Warnecke.
Bolt Electric replaced the entire fuse box, adding all new breakers, new connections and everything necessary to bring the system up to code.
"Oh, my goodness," said Mary Ann once power was restored. "Bless you!"
"She's my everything," said David fighting back tears. "And I can't give her anything. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't even be able to do this."
