It’s Teacher Appreciation Week, so the Arizona’s Family Surprise Squad wanted to personally thank some local teachers dedicated to educating children in the community.
With the cost of gas so high, many people in Arizona are struggling. That’s why the Arizona’s Family Surprise Squad sponsored by Valley Toyota Dealers wanted to give out free gas.
The Surprise Squad thought Brayden and his family could use a happy distraction, which is why 3TV’s Olivia Fierro and the crew paid them an unexpected visit.
Nobody was yet filling up when the crew first arrived at the Fry’s gas station at 24th Street and Baseline Road, so Parra flagged down a car passing by and invited the driver to pull in for free gas.
"We think you guys will inspire other teenagers, not just across the Phoenix area, not just across Arizona. We think you will inspire teenagers across the United States and maybe even the world to do the same."
"I love Payson. The thunderstorms coming in in the afternoon. The trees. The elk. Everything up there," Surprise Squad recipient Ann told Arizona's Family.
“I thought my mom needs something because she’s been through so much with her colon cancer and her breast cancer and her back surgery and all the stuff she’s been through.”
"There are just things that are happening with this pandemic that's brought a lot of people down, and we're trying to get them back up again and help them any way we can."
The Surprise Squad followed Dave and his wife Andrea to the family practice where Brandy works Andrea had told Brandy she was there to drop off some hair care products and Brandy had no idea what was in store for her.
