PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -- A new school year is within reach as summer vacation nears its end.

For many students preparing to enter the classroom again can be a stressful time. The cost of new clothes, shoes, backpacks, and school supplies are something their families may not be able to provide.

Every child deserves to learn without worrying about their clothing or appearance.

That’s why Arizona’s Family is Paying It Forward to the Back-to-School Clothing Drive, a nonprofit that delivers more than $2 million in uniforms and school supplies to Valley students in need.

The Back-to-School Clothing Drive has served elementary school students for over 50 years. Each year, this organizations partners with 260 elementary schools in 30 local districts to help 25,000 students from low-income families get the supplies they need for school.

Backpacks, clothing, shoes, and school supplies are all provided free of cost.

As the need grows, the Back-to-School Clothing Drive continues to serve more children each year. Arizona’s Family and our Pay It Forward sponsors, America First Credit Union, Sweet James Accident Attorneys and Valley Honda Dealers, are helping to raise money for this cause.

We ask you to donate online. Every dollar you donate will be matched 100% by the BHHS Legacy Foundation! Your donation may be eligible for an Arizona Charitable Tax Credit.

Your donation will provide:

  • $25 donation: A backpack filled with school supplies.
  • $50 donation: 1 polo shirt, 1 pair of pants & 1 backpack filled with school supplies.
