Tyson Milanovich

A 1996 graduate of the ASU Cronkite School of Journalism & Mass Communication, Tyson Milanovich has helped behind the scenes in covering some of Arizona’s biggest stories over the past two decades, earning Rocky Mountain Emmy® Awards for Best Morning Newscast and Breaking News Coverage.

Tyson jokes he’s “still doing the morning announcements” from his days as a student at Woodinville High School in the Seattle area. He later spent 17 seasons as a public address announcer at Tempe High School for football and basketball.

As part of his current duties, he tries to help aspiring journalists achieve their goals by coordinating Arizona’s Family internship program, and he also serves on the Professional Advisory Committee for the L.A. Film School’s Media Communications program.
