Steven has traded in the Texas humidity for the Arizona dry heat. Born and raised in Texas, Steven attended Sam Houston State University, where he studied Broadcast Journalism. He has a passion for both news and weather, which he is no stranger to balancing at work. Before moving to Phoenix, Steven worked 4 years at FOX 7 Austin news, 3 years at KRGV in the Rio Grande Valley, and 1 year at KSNB in Grand Island, Nebraska, where he did both news and weather for all those TV stations.
His severe weather coverage has been nationally recognized by FEMA, and he has also received awards for his live news reports.
When not on TV, Steven enjoys going to breweries, traveling, and trying out any and all food recommendations (Send BBQ recommendations).
