Salem native Cooper Seamer is a Multimedia Journalist for Dakota News Now.

Cooper always had a passion for telling stories and is excited about the opportunity to tell the stories of others in eastern South Dakota.

After graduating from McCook Central High School in 2016, he became a Coyote and studied Sports Marketing & Media at the University of South Dakota, graduating in May of 2020. He was a producer for the student-run newscast Coyote News and was nominated for an Upper Midwest Emmy Student Production Award for his work. While at USD, he worked part-time as a sports reporter at KDLT, covering numerous events in the tri-state area.

In his spare time, you can catch him visiting state parks, podcasting with friends, visiting downtown shops, or watching sports.
