Authorities: Human remains found south on Winslow

 

Human remains have been found south of Winslow,authorities in northeastern Arizona said.

Navajo County Sheriff's officials said identification of the remains along with the cause and manner of death will be made by the county Medical Examiner's Office.

They said a Winslow man was out gathering cattle on a ranch Wednesday morning when he came across the remains.

He then contacted the sheriff's office.

Deputies went to the ranch site to search for evidence along with the Heber Overgaard search and rescue crew, the county sheriff's auxiliary volunteers, the county attorney's office investigator and Show Low police detectives.
