17-year-old girl killed, 4 others hurt in north Phoenix crash

A 17-year-old girl is dead and four others are hurt after a crash in north Phoenix on Wednesday night.

The teenage girl killed has been identified as Anika Zibell.

It happened at 32nd Street and Union Hills Drive.

Phoenix police say an 18-year-old man is in critical condition and a 16-year-old boy has minor injuries.

According to police, a Kia Optima with the teenage passengers ran a red light heading northbound on 32nd Street and crashed into a red Ford F-150 truck that was turning east onto Union Hills Drive. The force of the collision caused the Kia to crash into a blue Ford F-150 truck. The 51-year-old man driving the red truck and 32-year-old woman driving the blue truck suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the red F-150 truck was processed for possible alcohol impairment and the investigation is ongoing.
