Remember the photo of a rattlesnake taking a swim in Lake Pleasant?
Well, it gets worse.
Apparently, another Arizona critter likes to go for a dip… Scorpions.
“He had his tail up and was just swimming around,” said Jen Lawson of Maricopa.
Lawson says she’s found two now in her swimming pool, in addition to several more in other parts of the backyard. One she spotted using a black light at night.
"The pest control company seems to think that maybe they’re traveling from the block wall closer to the house and they’re getting in the pool,” said Lawson.
Just as it's starting to get hot, now you have this to worry about.
According to Arizona State University, some species of scorpions can live for up to two days underwater.

Lawson worries about what that means for her two small children.
“She actually plays in this area so it would have been feet from her. It’s scary to think about."
With their backyard paradise now spoiled by the unwanted visitor, Lawson joked, "My husband said we’re going to rip up the pool and not have it any longer."
Lawson had an exterminator spray for scorpions Friday afternoon.
