Volunteers cleaned up about a dozen Peoria Unified schools

PEORIA, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) — About 100 people came together this past weekend to clean up and improve some Valley schools and that’s Something Good!
Working Hard to improve our schools, about a dozen Peoria Unified Schools participated in Love Our School Day this past Saturday. Students, staff parents and community partners rolled up their sleeves to give campuses some TLC. They worked on various campuses like Apache Elementary, Desert Valley Elementary and Peoria High School. The beautification projects included planting bushes and flowers, updating landscaping, pulling weeds, paining bulletin boards, and more.
Sky View and Desert Valley Elementary Schools asked their volunteers to write thank you notes for staff along with cleaning up around the campus. Thanks to all the volunteers for doing Something Good!
