PAYSON, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -- Search crews have recovered the bodies of two men on Tuesday after three people fell through the ice at Woods Canyon Lake in Coconino County.

Coconino County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report that 49-year-old Narayana Muddana, 47-year-old Gokul Mediseti and Haritha Muddana had been walking on the frozen lake and fell through around 3:30 p.m. Monday. Officials say they were able to pull Haritha from the water soon after and attempted CPR, but she died at the scene. Crews then began searching for Narayana and Mediseti, who had also fallen into the lake. The two men were found dead on Tuesday afternoon.

Investigators say the three people lived in Chandler but are from India. Deputies searched the area with Gila County Sheriff’s Office dive units, DPS Air Rescue’s cold-water diver, and Coconino County Sheriff’s Office rescue crews.
