PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -- You heard of people renting out their homes overnight as a side hustle. But what if all you had to do was rent out your space for an hour to make some extra cash. It’s a popular trend growing in the Valley.

Love it or Love it or hate it, influencer marketing works according to the Felice Agency, the top agency for influencer marketing in the Valley, the business has grown to a more than $16.4 billion industry in the U.S.

Before you can sell a picture or video, you need a setting, and a nice background to capture all that pizazz. In the world of influencers and content creation, there’s plenty of room for small businesses to blossom.

“I love pink, I love everything girlie, and growing up with three sisters I really wanted to create a beautiful space,” said Tresnae Ramsey.

Tresnae and Doreen Ramsey are the mother-daughter duo behind the Flower House Phoenix. The 100-year-old home was recently renovated by the family, with all things pink in mind.

“I am homegrown. she has the degree and I have the eye,” said Doreen.

Flower House is a popular place for a growing trend of people wanting a unique space to either take photographs or be photographed. With the help of popular booking websites like Peerspace and Giggster, they can rent out the house, sometimes just a room by the hour.

Jude Luth does something similar with his Yoga Studio off 16th Street and Osborn Road. It’s a business that he nearly lost during the lockdown.

“I was struggling to keep this place alive, so I had to do a huge pivot. Now we have models, makeup artists, hairdressers, photographers,” said Luth. They started with three plants as backdrops and now business is booming.

“I would never would have thought I would be able to rent out this space, Every month I am looking at $2500 extra,” said Luth. But the zen you’ll feel once you leave his location, that he says, is priceless.
