PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) - State lawmakers are looking at more than 100 new laws dealing with elections. Some of the proposed bills include limiting early voting, scrapping election machines and requiring an ID to cast a ballot.

Republicans say these are just simple security measures to safeguard election integrity. However, one bill limits early voting to Arizonans 65 years of age or older. If this bill is signed into law, more than two million people on the early voting list would be restricted from early voting, which includes mail-in voting. Arizona Republic Reporter Ray Stern discusses the election bills with Arizona’s Family Political Editor, Dennis Welch.
