SUN CITY, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -- We Pay It Forward in Sun City to two ladies who are leaders of the Sun Dial Craft Club.

“Jo takes the time to make a hat for charity just like she does for a family member. She adorns each hat with a button that perfectly complements the colors that she chooses. Anna also makes sure she makes the colors match, and they make the most beautiful hats that anyone would want to wear,” their friend Jean Cruden said.

At times, Jo Anne Hanson and Anna Vanscooter use their money to buy supplies for their club and create items for others in need in our community. Because of their hard work, their club members wanted to pay it forward to them.

We walked up and surprised Jo and said, “Hello Jo!”

“Well, hi, how are you? My, you have a large camera,” Jo said surprised.

“Lorretta has something nice for you,” Paul Horton said.

“We are here because of all the wonderful things you do, and we would like to present you with this gift card for $500,” Lorreta said.

“Yay - I watch you all the time. Oh my gosh, this is a surprise!” Jo said.

They have about 50 members in their needle crafting club, where they meet twice a week to help the charities they support. Jo already has plans with her friend Anna.

“I think Anna and I need to go to the fabric store. We’re going to have a big day - she is going to be shocked!” Jo said.
