Sam Fox announces expansion of Fly Bye with North Phoenix location

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -- They’ve got chicken, they’ve got pizza, even salads, and they DO deliver! Fly Bye, a Fox Restaurant Concept, is expanding to North Phoenix with the announcement of a second location coming to Desert Ridge Marketplace.

Sam Fox, the founder of Fox Restaurant Concepts, announced the expansion Tuesday of his latest eatery creation, featuring Detroit-style square pan pizza and crispy chicken. Fly Bye’s chicken tenders are kept crisp via the hand-breading and buttermilk-dipped combination. The chicken wings are cooked slow and served naked or tossed in a sauce of your choice.

As a Detroit-area native, whenever I hear Detroit-style pizza, it piques my interest. Fox’s determined to serve hungry Valley residents with Detroit’s famous pan pizza style, with an emphasis on an airy crust, cheesy center, and crunchy edges. Some of the featured pizzas will include The Aviator, for the meat lovers, to a decadently-topped Black Truffle Mushroom, which is layered with a parmesan cream sauce. “Our goal in creating Fly Bye was to provide a fast, easy, and fun experience with delicious comfort food that the whole family can enjoy,” said Sam Fox, “I hope the North Phoenix neighborhood loves it as much as we do.”

The new location is expected to open in the summer of 2022 and will offer online ordering, curbside pick-up, and contact-free delivery. Although Fly Bye specializes in takeout, the new location will provide a limited amount of space to dine in for those too eager to start chowing down.
