PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) — A Phoenix-area woman has made it her mission to get special needs dogs into homes they deserve. Terry Black has been an important volunteer for a Phoenix-area dog rescue but she does so much more. “Terry is just amazing,” said Shauna. “She is one of the volunteers and over the last 14 years, she has placed 350 dogs with special needs.”
Black even fostered Shauna’s dog Sparky, who was abandoned and found in a field because he was blind and deaf. Black brought him back to health and found a perfect family. Because of that, Shauna wanted to Pay It Forward to Black. “I nominated you for Pay It Forward for all you do and you won. So we have a gift card for you,” said Shauna.
Black plans to use the money to help out the rescue that is so important to her. “I’ve never had anything like this. This is incredible and to have someone like her, I’m not surprised. She has always had such a huge heart,” said Black. She cherishes the opportunity to help special needs dogs.
