PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -- Sports betting has officially launched across the state of Arizona Thursday with a variety of mobile apps, in-person wagering, and of course plenty of exclusive deals. On this Field Trip Friday (Thursday), we check out the whole new world of sports betting - the economic impact, how it will work, and much more.

The tribal licensees are: Ak-Chin, Fort Mohave, Navajo, Quechan, Tonto Apache, Tohono O’odham, Hualapai, San Juan Southern Paiute, San Carlos Apache and Fort McDowell Yavapai.

The pro sports teams and venues are: Arizona Cardinals, Arizona Diamondbacks, Phoenix Suns, Arizona Coyotes, Phoenix Mercury, TPC Scottsdale, Phoenix Speedway and Arizona Rattlers.

Phoenix Raceway and Barstool Sportsbook

Sports betting at Phoenix Raceway will be primarily targeting auto racing. Barstool Sportsbook has partnered with Phoenix Raceway to build a sportsbook in Avondale. Fans can attend NASCAR races and bet on live auto racing, including NASCAR Championships.

Arizona Diamondbacks and Caesars Entertainment

The Arizona Diamondbacks has teamed up with the Caesars Entertainment as sports betting takes off in Arizona. There will be five temporary betting windows open at Chase Field, where fans can walk up and place in-person bets. It will be located in the Chase Field plaza, previously where Game 7 Grill was.

The sportsbook will be a two story, 20,000 square-foot venue with indoor and outdoor seating. There will be two floors dedicated to sports betting, a bar, VIP lounge, and wall-to-wall TVs. The sportsbook will be open year-round as well, so fans can visit any time they wish. The sportsbook is expected to open early 2022.

When sports betting goes live in Arizona on Sept. 9, fans can trek to Chase Field to make a bet at ticket windows 21-25. Chase Field will be the first MLB Stadium where fans can place in-person wagers. There will also be five betting kiosks installed on the north side of the plaza fans can use as well.

With the Caesars app, every bet a user places, whether they win or lose, will earn them Caesars Rewards. Each bet earns Caesar Rewards Tier Credits and Reward Credits. The credits can be redeemed everywhere, including free play, dining, getaways and some sports and entertainment events.

Fanduel and Phoenix Suns

Fanduel launched its sportsbook lounge inside the Footprint Center on Thursday. It stretches over 7,400 square feet and will be open year with five betting windows, 26 self-service kiosks and 35-foot video wall with 40 TVs. Officials say that the sportsbook will also host an exclusive watch party for Thursday Night Football.

Arizona Cardinals and BetMGM

The Cardinals are teaming up with BetMGM to create a sportsbook at State Farm Stadium, along with BetMGM’s partnership with Gila River Hotels & Casinos. The sportsbook at State Farm Stadium is expected to open in time for the 2022 NFL season opener.
