PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -- We paid it forward this week to Samantha Glauser and her dog Che. They volunteer their time to help an organization called Gabriel’s Angels.

Their Director, Pamelle Easterling, said, “We were founded in 2000, over 20 years ago, with the simple idea of bringing the unconditional love of an animal to a child that needs it most. I am sure you can imagine with all the stresses of the pandemic, there are more kids now that need that love. It’s an amazing organization that has hundreds of therapy animals that touch the lives of many of our local kids in need.”

Connie McNeel is the person who nominated her. She said, “Samantha has been with the therapy team with Gabriels Angels for nine years. Shes had three different therapy animals, two dogs, and a cat. Dexter and Che and a cat named Noele. In the last nine years, she’s visited 100s of kids ages 2 to 17.”

Because of her hard work, the staff wanted to Pay It Forward to Samantha and her dog Che. So we walked into their headquarters, where Samantha and Che thought they had a meeting.

Connie said, “Che, is amazing. He obviously is a Pit Bull, and he is just so sweet and gentle and kind with all the children. He’s an amazing dog. And Samantha, you are an amazing volunteer. We thank you for all you have given to Gabriels Angels and the children you have served throughout the years. Thank you, I appreciate it.” Connie then handed Samantha our $500 gift card.

Samantha and Che are a terrific team and continue to work with children in need here in the Valley. Samantha was so surprised and said, “I absolutely love the mission. I’ve been a huge supporter even before I started volunteering here. It’s an honor to work with this organization.”
