The beautiful desert is blooming after much winter rains. These pictures were taken on a hike through the Superstition Mountains on Tuesday (3/31/2010). It was the hottest day of the year, but well worth the effort. Gregg Hurd, one of the hikers, exclaimed, "It's like Ireland but with cactus!" Get out and enjoy it while it lasts!
