We heard several people remark on the wildflower covered highways and byways in the Black Hills so we headed out ourselves to check it out. We left Safford and headed to Clifton and Morenci, turning off at the 3-Way and made the loop around to the Duncan Valley before heading back home. It was amazing! I wish you could see how bright it actually is. Miles and miles of oohs and ahhs were experienced by my husband, mom and myself...all native Arizonan's. We have not seen any thing as prolific as these poppy covered hills in many years!
