We found this African spurred tortoise in a plumbing supply lot near Baseline and Country Club in Mesa about 8-9 months ago so we adopted it. It's an African spurred tortoise (Salcata) and was just a baby. Our 7 yr old cat always spent a lot of time sitting next to his tub and we thought nothing of it till a few day's ago when we started seeing this. She doesnt harm the little guy and actually curls up with him at night to sleep. We dont have the heart to tell her its a tortoise........
