I work with a local Gilbert Non profit organization called the Wild Horse Ranch Rescue(WHRR). This 501 C3 Charity rescues horses and mules (some dogs and cats too) from slaughter and abuse. WHRR currently houses 17 horses and mules as well as 4 dogs and a cat atrium which is lovingly referred to as "Kitty City".
WHRR was founded by Kimberly Meagher (MA-HER) in 1995. Initially this facility was manned by Kimberly and her two children, McKay and Nicholas. The WHRR has grown to employ 50 volunteer feed team personnel and a hand full of volunteer board members.
This is a great organization started by an amazing woman. The WHRR operates on donations provided by our Arizona community and our facility is run 365 days per year by a special team of volunteers. Fundraising efforts are constant in this business. WHRR would like to bring awareness to the greater Phoenix community on what they do and how passionately they do it.
You can learn more on our organization by visiting www.mudpony.com
The WHRR giftshop is open Thursdays through Sundays, 11:00am to 5:00pm
Thank you for your time and consideration.
