Here in Page we had 4 inches of snow over Thursday night after at least 3/4 inch of rain. A pretty good winter storm by Page standards.
The Page School District cancelled school for Friday in anticipation of the approaching snow and the difficulty for the busses to navigate the higher terrain around Page. School busses transport students from up to 75 miles away on the Navajo Reservation.
Friday we had another inch of snow or so. A little south in the Bitter Springs area, they had 18" and it was snowing again today. The high plateau you drive across on Hwy. 89 on the way to Page/ Lake Powell - the Kaibeto Plateau- got at least 2 feet.
The red rocks of the Colorado just pop when the snow flies.
