Update
Saturday, October 17, 2009, 9:30 PM Arizona Time Zone

Al Slusser from Cottonwood, AZ is walking from the West Coast to the East Coast pulling his homemade wagon that carries his tent and some clothing supplies. Al is a 70 year old senior citizen and has dedicated his walk to Senior Citizens, Disabled Americans & Veterans

Al is currently about two days from walking into Gila Bend, AZ. He spent his last night in his tent under the stars and between two Palmetto trees. With rail road tracks close by, he said he still got a good nights rest. His only concern, having brought only shorts and a pair of blue jeans, is the sun on his legs. He said a pair of light cotton trousers sure would be helpful.

Al is currently walking roads along side Interstate 8 and is walking 10 to 12 miles during the day. He can be contacted by cell phone at: 928-451-6859

Al would like to meet with officials of towns and cities he passes through for documentation with an official seal to record his walk across the United States.
