Your Change Can Make a Difference

Fry’s Benefits Local Boys & Girls Club

From January 2 through February 2, 2013, customers at Fry’s Food Stores are invited to “round-up” their purchases to the nearest whole dollar and donate the difference to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale. Fry’s has partnered with the Club to provide children in need with access to life-changing programs and services that foster their academic, physical and social environment.

“The availability of affordable afterschool programs continues to be an important objective in order to meet the needs of our community,” said Steve Davidson, CEO at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale. “As customers shop at Fry’s, we hope they will keep our mission in mind by rounding-up their purchases to benefit a local cause.”

All funds raised from Fry’s “Round-up” campaign will make it possible for more than 16,000 local youth to participate in the Club’s afterschool programming, which includes career and leadership development, healthy life choices, and fitness – all in a safe environment.

Recent studies show that more than a quarter of Arizona’s school children are on their own between the hours of 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. each day. Fry’s commitment to the afterschool cause will make it possible for more children to participate in Boys & Girls Club programs.
