The Charley Fire is currently burning east of Bartlett lake in the Maztazal Mountains and has thus far consumed nearly 1,000 acres. There are 79 personnel working to contain the blaze. This particular fire, one of at least three large blazes burning near Phoenix has produced a plume widely visible across the northeast valley. Given that, I decided to head out Tuesday night and see if the nearby thunderstorms would travel near the fire. This images shows one of said storms as it begins to dissipate near the flames.
