City lit Perseids

Perseid Meteor

If you're a stargazer, this is the time of year for the best meteor shower. The perseids, southeast of cassiopeia, triggers a meteor display twice the size of an unnatural 4th of July spectacle. With a clear view of the celestials at Roosevelt lake, Prescott, or anywhere untouched by city lights...the display of awesomeness radiating from the sky is an annual event.

My picture observed from a backyard in Scottsdale over 3 hours was nothing but polluted and city light illuminated, but the brightest streaks were north and east of cassiopeia. I counted 13 in 2 hours. Tomorrow I'll be counting the coyotes' howl. Give us clear skies Norm.
