Once I realized there was a full moon rising at near perfect timing on the Fourth of July to coincide with the fireworks show, I knew that this year I'd have to try something different. Having Photographed this event now for the past 4 years, I've started wondering how many new fresh views and perspectives I could find. Timelapse seemed like the perfect fresh thing for me to do. Having only done it once before, I knew this time would face some new challenges, such as transition from day to night, and once again knowing where to stand in relation to the rest of the concept I wanted.
I ended up shooting the Time lapse in three different segments. Not on purpose, but I found I had some composition issues, and I also wanted to have different intervals between the lengthy dusking part and the the part when the action is going on.
The video first half is the time lapse with full moon rising. The second part of video showing individual images, are images I took that night with my backup camera and a big zoom lens.
I hope you enjoy,
