We have adopted, kinda, a family of these screech Owls. The parents are about 8 1/4 " high and the two babies are about 3 3/4 " high. They like mice, scorpions, cockroaches and other pests of that size. They have been at our 3 1/3 acre place for about three months. They are predators but our cat and dogs and our grand children. are safe. They are very cute but never seem to smile. JK
