In advance of this weekend's Memorial Day holiday, Veterans at the VA Hospital and State Veteran Home were treated to a visit from 55 staff members from Grand Canyon University’s Military Division, with a delivery of flags, thank you cards, donuts and coffee. The Vets were also treated to a medley of military hymns.
More than 50 staff members from Grand Canyon University’s Military Division recently honored local veterans in advance of Memorial Day by delivering 300 flags and thank you cards to the VA Hospital and State Veteran Home.
GCU staff sang military hymns while visiting veterans at the Arizona State Veteran Home, and distributed donuts and coffee, donated by Albertsons.
