We had a decent hailstorm, followed about 30 minutes later by something that could best be called "snowy hail" (pea-sized globs that weren't icy like hail, but compressible like snow). Then after that, we actually had real snow. It metled very quickly (the ground was very wet), but in areas where the "snowy-hail" hadn't melted, the snow survived long enough to be collected with the "snowy-hail" to make a miniature snowman.
