My husband and I started south on I17 yesterday afternoon at 1:30 pm and were at a stand still for hours on the highway. Drivers were cleaning snow off their cars and visiting with others as we waited for the snowplows to clear the road enough to pass or AZDPS officers to get wreckers through the unusal I17 parking lot that were needed to pull slide offs out of the snow.
It took us 5 hours to travel from Flagstaff to Camp Verde yesterday afternoon during the recent snow storm.
